A pair of Paducah residents were picked up Friday in separate drug investigations.
In one of the investigations, McCracken County Sheriff's detectives served a search warrant on an apartment in the 300 block of South 9th Street after a report of alleged illegal drug activity. Inside the apartment, detectives reportedly found methamphetamine and marijuana. The resident, 52-year-old Sara "Denise" Fondaw was arrested and charged with possession.
In the other investigation, a traffic stop outside those same South 9th Street apartments netted a significant drug stash.
Drug detectives stopped a vehicle driven by 49-year-old David Hill. A search of his vehicle allegedly uncovered 56 grams of packaged crystal methamphetamine. The sizeable amount of meth prompted detectives to get and execute a search warrant on Hill's Parkside Drive home. There they reportedly found more methamphetamine and cocaine, along with a handgun, and containers used to hide drugs. In total, they took 178 grams of crystal meth and 37 grams of cocaine off the streets. Hill was charged with trafficking in meth and cocaine.
Both Fondaw and Hill were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
