Paducah man facing dozens of child porn charges

A Paducah man is in custody as the result of a child pornography investigation.

According to the Paducah Police Department, detectives began investigating 61-year-old Robert A. Riley on November 24 after they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Investigators learned Riley allegedly distributed child sexual abuse material online and through social media.

Detectives searched Riley’s home, and reportedly found 29 images of child sexual abuse material on his phone, as well as a small amount of methamphetamine, a digital scale and drug paraphernalia.

Riley was charged with 28 counts of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 years old, and four more under 18 years old; distribution of that material; and possession of a controlled substance.

He is incarcerated in the McCracken County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
