Paducah man charged with murder after fight escalates into shooting

A Paducah man has been charged with murder after a shooting on Sunday night.

Paducah Police said on Monday that 21-year-old Peyton Boulton was arrested and charged after the incident. It happened just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Jefferson Street.

Investigators said a fight between Boulton and 31-year-old Damareon Prather escalated from physical to Boulton allegedly shooting Prather several times.

Prather was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries.

Boulton was arrested and charged with murder. He was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
