According to KYTN, Carr said good things happened over the past 12 months, although the county government is ending half of the fiscal year.
He explained about the growth as the result of dollars being received by an enhanced tourism effort, and was also excited about the potential prospects for an ethanol plant in the city of Obion.
Carr also pointed out that the county has eliminated an ongoing problem involving mandatory storage of records, by securing a building to house them.
He said ending the year, the county government maintains a good financial standing, and is blessed to have fiscally responsible department leaders and commissioners.
