During Friday's quarterly meeting, Murray State University's Board of Regents announced the hiring of a new provost.
Dr. Rose Marie Ward will become the new provost and vice president of acadenic affairs. She comes to Murray State from the University of Cincinnati, where she was serving as special consultant to the provost and a professor of psychology, as well as the vice provost and dean of the graduate college.
Ward will begin her new dutines February 2nd and according to the Murray Ledger and Times will be paid $250,000 per year.
She replaces Dr. Tim Todd, who stepped down from the position November 1st. He is currently involved in a lawsuit against the school for breach of contract.
