A motorcycle pursuit through parts of Hopkins and Caldwell Counties ends with an arrest near Princeton.
A Caldwell County Sheriff's deputy allegedly clocked a motorcycle at 86 mph in a 55 mph zone along US 62 and tried to stop it. The rider, later identified as 41-year-old Christopher McCallister, refused to stop and fled. McCallister took back roads into Hopkins County and then took Princeton Olney Road back into Caldwell County.
Multiple attempts to stop McCallister were unsuccessful, as he left the roadway to avoid one of the roadblocks. McCallister entered I-69 and headed south toward KY 91. At that point, a "legal intervention" was used to end the pursuit.
McCallister was treated and released from Caldwell Medical Center and then taken to the Caldwell County Jail. He was charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police, possession of a controlled substance, and numerous traffic violations. McCallister was also served with a pair of outstanding warrants.
