A missing Paducah man's body was recovered in Kentucky Lake Wednesday morning.
Marshall County Coroner Kenny Pratt told West Kentucky Star that 42-year-old Jonathan McManus was pulled from the waters near the "New Beach" at Kentucky Dam Village just after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. His body was spotted in the water by park employees. McManus had been missing since last Friday afternoon. At the time, Paducah Police believed McManus may have been headed to Land Between the Lakes.
The Marshall County Rescue Squad, Park Rangers, and Kentucky Emergency Management with help from other agencies in Marshall, Calloway, Trigg, and McCracken Counties mounted a search Tuesday for McManus before he was located.
Pratt said that McManus will be transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville for an autopsy scheduled for Thursday.
