An traffic accident with no reported injuries occurred just after 2 Wednesday afternoon.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene at the intersection of New Holt Road and Olivet Church Road.

Deputies said a vehicle operated by 61-year-old Dalton Chandler turned from New Holt Road onto Olivet Church Road and made too wide of a turn striking a vehicle operated by 29-year-old Tyson Lamar of Metropolis.

Chandler was reportedly under the influence at the time of the accident and Lamar was driving on a suspended license.

Chandler, who was on bond conditions on an unrelated DUI charge, was charged with DUI, possession of an open alcoholic container, wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and violation of condition of release. He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Lamar was cited for driving on a suspended license.
