The search of a home in Mayfield landed two people behind bars on multiple drug-related charges.

Officers searced the home after they said an investigation led them to believe drugs and other illegal items would be there.

The search reportedly uncovered multiple illegal drugs, including mushrooms, methamphetamine, liquid codeine, and prescription pills.

The two occupants, identified as 35-year-old Nekeisha Palmer, and 60-year-old Thomas Downs, were both arrested and taken to an out-of-county jail.

The pair were both charged with possession of an unspecified drug and possession of methamphetamine.

Downs was additionally charged with possession of codeine, while Palmer was charged with prescription not in a proper container.
