Mayfield pair arrested following drug trafficking investigation

Reports of illegal drug sales at an apartment in Mayfield ended with the arrest of a Mafield pair for drug trafficking Wednesday.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said they began their investigation into illegal drug sales at an apartment on Birch Cove.
 
As part of the investigation crystal Methamphetamine was purchased from a resident of the apartment. A search warrant was then obtained and served on the residence on Wednesday at around 12:30 pm.

Two people were located at the apartment. While searching the apartment authorities said they found quantities of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine. They also said items of drug paraphernalia were also seized which included plastic baggies used to package the drugs, and electronic scales used to weigh them. 

Deputies arrested 40-year-old Lisa N. Taylor and 47-year-old Johnny D. Storey on trafficking in a methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Storey was also served with an active arrest warrant charging him with trafficking in methamphetamine out of Graves County.
