Mayfield man arrested after gun store burglary

A burglary at a local gun store last week has landed a Mayfield man behind bars.

Mayfield police responded last Tuesday after it was reported multiple firearms were stolen.

The suspect was no longer at the scene, but after a two-day investigation that involved video and physical evidence, 34-year-old Johnathan Sharp was arrested.

Sharp was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Authorities said Sharp was arrested and charged in 2021 after burglarizing the same business.
