Two Marshall County women were arrested on drug related charges in Calloway County Thursday.

The Calloway County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on US 641 North Thursday afternoon with the help of Marshall County K-9 "Drax" found a passenger in the vehicle, 45-year-old Amanda R. Cope, was found to be in possession illicit drugs, some consistent with trafficking. Fifty eight grams of crystal methamphetamine, a quantity of Fentanyl Pills, Suboxone, and several other drug paraphernalia related items were located. Cope is currently on probation where she plead guilty to trafficking methamphetamine in 2019.

The driver of the vehicle, 50-year-old Lora L. Carroll, was found to have a suspended operator’s license and is legally prohibited from operating a motor vehicle on the roadway. Both individuals were placed under arrest and transported to the Calloway County Detention Center.
