Hundreds of people attended the fourth annual Blessing of the Jeeps at southern Illinois' Bald Knob Cross of Peace on Saturday.
The attendees prayed over their Jeeps and took a guided tour of the Shawnee National Forest. There were also vendors of food and merchandise on scene for the day.
The relatively new event follows the annual Blessing of the Bikes at Alto Pass held two weeks ago. It's been taking place for over three decades.
It's also the home for the largest Easter sunrise service in southern Illinois.
Bald Knob was a popular spot to view the Great American Eclipse in 2017, and many will return for another total solar eclipse coming through southern Illinois next April.
Bald Knob officials estimate that more than 200,000 people visit the cross annually.
