A Henderson man was arrested Wednesday after police said he assaulted a Paducah restaurant manager with a knife.
Officers responded to a restaurant in the 5100 block of Hinkleville Road for reports of a disturbance.
The victim said he went to terminate an employee, 39-year-old David McDonald. This reportedly caused McDonald to pull out a knife and strike the victim in the head with the handle.
The victim reported McDonald additionally kicked him in the stomach and threatened to return with a gun.
McDonald was allegedly found asleep in a vehicle, with knife in hand, at a home on Queensway Drive. Officers said he was also found to have marijuana and methamphetamine.
He was charged with assault, possession of a controlled substance, menacing, and possession of marijuana.
