Gas prices continue to rise in the region

Gas prices are continuing to climb in our region.

Triple A's East Central Gas Report out Monday found gas prices in West Central Kentucky are 11 cents higher than a week ago.   This week's average price is $3.72 per gallon for regular gas, up from $3.61 just a week ago.

Paducah's average price this week is higher than the regional average, as customers are paying $3.76 per gallon. 

The national average increased 11 cents this week also to an average price of $4.11 per gallon. 

Twenty eight states in the nation are above $4 per gallon for gas with rising crude oil prices behind the spike in gas prices.
