On Thursday, at its monthly Board of Directors meeting, the Fulton County Transit Authority named a new Executive Director.

Paul Maxwell will move up from FCTA Assistant Director position, taking over from Kenney Etherton, who retired on April 15th.

“I’m excited about where we are now, but even more excited about where we are going,” said Maxwell. “We are hosting a groundbreaking for our FCTA Office Complex next Wednesday. We are also updating our technology here. I am looking forward to working with and visiting with the public in my new role.”

Maxwell served as Executive Director of FCTA from 2005 to 2011, before leaving to work for a private company and on his family farm.

The 2007 Kentucky Transit Director of the Year, Maxwell returned to FCTA in 2016 as Human Resources/Safety Manager.

FCTA serves Fulton, Carlisle, Hickman, and Graves Counties.
