During Tuesday night's Paducah Board of Commissioners meeting, a municipal order was passed authorizing a joint letter of support wth McCracken Fiscal Court supporting Greater Paducah Economic Development's application for grant funding to construct a speculative building.
The two million dollar grant, if approved, would be awarded by the Kentucky Cabinet of Economic Development. If awarded, the remaining cost to construct the spec building in Paducah would be divided between the city (75 percent) and county (25 percent).
Future action would be taken by the City Commission to formally approve the allocation.
