McCracken County Judge-Executive Craig Clymer has officially filed for re-election.
Clymer is completing the third year of his second term and said in a statement that he wants to continue to achieve the type of positive accomplishments seen during the first two terms. He cited improvements in public safety through the Sheriff’s Office and the upgraded radio systems for first responders, the sports park, completion of the new terminal at Barkley Regional Airport, the sports park, and the multi-billion dollar investments coming to the former Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant site.
Clymer said, “I am honored to have the privilege of leading McCracken County as Judge Executive for the past seven years. I respectfully request your vote for an additional term to continue our progress in making our great Community stronger still.”
Commissioners Bill Bartleman and Eddie Jones have also filed for re-election to their posts. Former Jailer David Knight and former commissioner Jeff Parker have filed to run for the seat currently held by Richard Abraham. Abraham has not made an announcement as to whether he will seek another term.
Press Release November 14, 2025
I have filed for reelection as McCracken County Judge Executive, to continue forward with these major accomplishments made in the last seven years:
Strengthened the Sheriff’s office with higher wages and advanced equipment;
Bringing multi-billion-dollar companies to safely enrich spent Uranium with thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of employees supplying our nation’s nuclear fuel needs for decades.
Attracting thousands of new jobs through new companies and expansions of existing ones.
Improved County finances from poor to excellent while keeping taxes low;
Establishing new emergency radio equipment for all first responders;
Established strong, positive relationships with partners in local, state, federal, and nonprofit organizations;
Completed the new Barkley Airport terminal with flights to Chicago and Houston;
Completing a state-of-the-art Sports Park next March for both tourism and local children’s use;
Improving Carson Park and Floral Hall;
Cleared and leveled our Triple Rail Site for development;
Improved local parks in Heath, Reidland, and Lone Oak;
Cleaning neighborhoods of dilapidated and unsafe structures.
When you hire someone to do a job, just as when you elect a candidate, you want a person with years of experience, with a good reputation, the tools and skills needed, and a proven positive track record. I hope you will agree, that is me.
I am honored to have the privilege of leading McCracken County as Judge Executive for the past seven years. I respectfully request your vote for an additional term to continue our progress in making our great Community stronger still.
