Closure Monday for US 60/62 Mississippi River Bridge

Next week, the Illinois Department of Transportation plans to close the US 60/62 Mississippi River Bridge that connects Illinois and Missouri south of Cairo.

According to IDOT, the will be closed to all traffic starting Monday through Thursday to allow a detailed inspection of the bridge structure. The bridge will also be closed March 27-30 for continued inspection.

Message boards will be in place to direct traffic.
