Kentucky court clerks will not be able to license motor vehicles for the first two weeks of January.
McCracken County Clerk Jamie Huskey says conversion to a modern registration system will put all motor vehicle licensing to halt the first two weeks of 2024.
The statewide upgrade will not allow clerks to perform any transactions to vehicles, boats, trailers and handicap placards.
Customers may drop off or mail in renewals with proof of insurance during this closure. The services will end December 29th and resume January 16th.
The office will remain open for recordings, marriage licensing, voter registration, delinquent taxes, etc.
