Officials are asking drivers in Livingston County to be alert for two missing cows still loose from Tuesday's cattle truck crash.
After an accounting of 55 cows that were on board a truck that crashed along US 62 at the Livingston County end of the Tennessee River Bridge, investigators found that two steers remain unaccounted for and are likely wandering in the Lake City or Grand Rivers area.
Wranglers and emergency management personnel tracked the cows east along the P&L Railroad line before losing the trail in a rocky area.
Officials speculate that if they continue eastward along the tracks they could end up in the Depot Road area near the west end of Barkley Dam.
While they could turn up about anywhere in Livingston County south of Interstate 24, officials think they are most likely south of US 62.
Call Livingston County 911 with specific location information if you spot the missing animals.
