In a post on Calvert City's Facebook page, the organization donated $6,000 to the Calvert-Sharpe Family Resource Center which is part of Marshall County Schools. The money came from the proceeds of the Calvert City Summer Slam Pickleball Tournament.
Last summer, the tournament brought players from all over the region to compete. Registration is already underway for this year's tournament which will take place June 21st through 23rd in Calvert City.
