A Saturday traffic stop in Calloway County landed a wanted man behind bars on drug charges.

Deputies stopped the vehicle near Cypress Harbor Drive and Lax Drive for alleged traffic violations.

The driver, 36-year-old Charles Warren of Louisville, was reportedly found to have several outstanding warrants.

While placing him into custody, the sheriff's office said Warren attempted to flee, but was quickly apprehended.

A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered over a half-pound of meth, Suboxone pills, marijuana, various other drugs, and over $5,000 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

Warren, who has an extensive criminal history with multiple meth convictions, was served with the warrants and additionally charged with trafficking in meth, suboxone, and marijuana; possession of cocaine, LSD, Oxycodone, and Diazepam; and resisting arrest.
