BBQ On the River returning to downtown Paducah

After two years "off the river," Paducah’s 28th BBQ on the River is making its way back downtown.

During Tuesday's Paducah City Commission meeting, commisioners voted on a contract with Beautiful Paducah LLC for promotional services for the three-day event in September.  Beautiful Paducah, the brainchild of Tyler and Whitney Wallace, is taking over the event from Barbecue on the River Inc.

They said with the support of co-founders Susie Coiner and Carol Gault, they are proud to announce BBQ on the River’s return.

Commissioner and BBQ on the River co-founder Carol Gault read a statement for the BBQ on the River board that stated they are thrilled that Whitney and her team have taken on the this leadership role.

The 28th BBQ on the River is scheduled for September 22-24. In honor of returning to the river, this year’s theme is "Smoke on the Water."
