Kentucky State Police at Mayfield made an arrest in connection with the shooting of a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer Thursday.

Twenty-nine-year old Braze Rucker was arrested at a Princeton residence early Sunday.

Rucker was one of two occupants of a vehicle stopped by Trooper Adam Colthron in Putnam County, TN along I-40 near Cookeville.

During the interaction, Trooper Cothron was shot and the subjects fled in the vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Sumner County.

Trooper Cothron was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he is in stable condition.
