U.S. average gas price falls below $3 for first time in four years; 2.60 in Paducah

Local consumers are paying more for a gallon of gas this week while the national average has fallen below $3.00 per gallon for the first time in four years at 2.95..

Triple A's East Central Gas Report out Monday finds West Central Kentucky gas prices are eight cents higher on average this week at $2.57 per gallon.

Paducah's average price is listed as three cents higher at $2.60 per gallon. However, Gasbuddy on Monday listed several local stations as low as 2.29.
