Fugitive arrested in Ballard County after anonymous tip

A man wanted in several counties was arrested Friday thanks to an anonymous tip.

Ballard County deputies were told that 42-year-old Wayne Daugherty of Gulfport, MS was staying at a location on Mayfield Road in Ballard County. 

Ballard deputies contacted the Carlisle County Sheriff's Office and advised them of the tip as Daugherty was wanted out of Carlisle County concerning theft of farm equipment. 

Deputies from Ballard and Carlisle County found and arrested Daughtery at the building he was alleged to be staying. 

In addition to being served with several warrants from Carlisle, McCracken, Marshall and Graves counties, Daughtery was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and is said to be a suspect in a vehicle theft at a business on Highway 51 in Carlisle County .

Daughtery was wanted out of McCracken County for a 2019 failure to appear warrant in which he did not appear for sentencing on a charge theft by unlawful taking, as well as a warrant for bail jumping. 
    
Daughtery was also wanted in Marshall County for a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of conspiracy to burglary and criminal mischief. He was also wanted out of Graves County for failure to appear for sentencing on charges of theft by unlawful taking, burglary, and persistent felony offender
