After a forecast of light showers and 56 this afternoon, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch on Sunday morning for most of southern Illinois and southeast Missouri. There is also a hazardous outlook that those frost conditions could expand across western Kentucky.
Temperatures could fall to or near the freezing mark by 7am Sunday morning before rebounding to a sunny 56 on Sunday.
Temps in the Ozarks foothills could dip into the upper 20s.
Monday morning could bring another freeze watch with a forecast low of 33 in Paducah.
Then a bubble of warm air through the week will bring temperatures back above normal, near 70 during the days and 50 in the mornings. Paducah's historical highs for the first week of November are 63.
