ATV crash claims life of Paducah woman; Benton man jailed

A crash involving an ATV on Sunday claimed the life of a Paducah woman and left a Benton man facing charges.

Deputies said 31-year-old Jacob Estes, 18-year-old Grace McKnight, and 23-year-old Landon O'Nan were riding on an ATV in a local campground when Estes lost control and struck a utility pole.

O'Nan and McKnight were thrown from the ATV, and McKnight was pronounced dead at the scene.

Estes and O'Nan were both transported to local hospitals for treatment before Estes was taken to the Marshall County jail.

Estes was charged with DUI, manslaughter, wanton endangerment, driving on a DUI suspended license, and other all-terrain vehicle violations.

The sheriff's office said Estes has been convicted of DUI four times since 2010.
