Summer heat and humidity looks to finally be moving in to stay awhile, according to the ten-day outlook from the National Weather Service.
It's calling for the Ohio Valley to be just outside the band of the biggest increase in daily highs in the nation. Paducah's average high temperature is 88 degrees in mid-June.
Hot, humid, and dry conditions remain on track for next weekend with highs into the 90s and heat index in the lower 100s.
Moderate heat-related impacts are possible.
By July 2, Paducah's warmest daily historical average will reach 90 degrees, and it stays right there until it starts to retreat on August 21.
