Paducah's Yeiser Arts Center was honored among the 2023 Governor's Awards in the Arts.

The Yeiser Arts Center was given the Community Arts Award and was among nine honorees from a list curated by the Kentucky Arts Council and named by Governor Andy Beshear. The nine categories of awards highlight the part these individual Kentuckians and these organizations play in the arts heritage of the Commonwealth.

Will Brandon, Operations Manager at The Yeiser Arts Center, said, "This is a massive accomplishment for us and we couldn't have done it without our incredible community partners. Many years ago Mary Yeiser received this same award and we are more than honored to be able to carry on her legacy of supporting and fostering the arts in our community and surrounding area."

All of this year's winners will be honored Friday night at a ceremony in Lexington's Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center.
