Contractors and personnel with the Department of Energy's Paducah Site provided support to several local charities recently in response to December's devastating tornado and COVID-19.

Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, Swift & Staley Inc., Mid-America Conversion Services, and Enterprise Technical Assistance Services participated in several charitable giving opportunities ranging from the Salvation Army's Angel Tree and Kettlebell campaigns to the Christmas int he Park food drive in Noble Park.

In addition to gifts of time and money by site employees, several DOE site contractors donated to Kare for Kids' drive-through Christmas party to provide Christmas gifts to foster children in the region. Other corporate donations were made to Starfish Orphan Ministries, Cassidy's Cause, Sunrise Children's Services, and Toys for Tots.

While companies worked together to coordinate state-wide giving opportunities for employees, each company also performed its own holiday giving campaigns.

Mid-America Conversion Services contributed funds to the Paducah Cooperative Ministries, employees of Swift & Staley raised $1,700 for Ballard County Family Focus and donated to the Family Service Society's Santa for a Senior program, and Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership celebrated the season with an employee Christmas lunch, raising funds for the Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club.
