McCracken County High School has been named a recipient of the prestigious College Success Award by GreatSchools.org, joining 31 other Kentucky high schools honored for their exceptional ability to prepare students for success in college.

This recognition, now in its sixth year, highlights public high schools that demonstrate a successful track record of graduating students who are ready for college-level coursework, enroll in postsecondary institutions, and persist to their second year of college.

The College Success Award is based on key data points that track the progress of students after high school, including graduation rates, college enrollment, and persistence in higher education.

McCracken County High School's recognition underscores its commitment to providing students with the tools and support needed to thrive in higher education and beyond.

"We are incredibly proud to be recognized with the College Success Award," said Jonathan Smith, Principal of McCracken County High School. "This achievement reflects the hard work of our dedicated students, teachers, and staff, and the continued support of our community. Our mission is to ensure that every student is prepared for success, whether they pursue a two-year or four-year college degree, enter the workforce, or follow another postsecondary path."

The College Success Award is part of a broader initiative to highlight schools that excel in supporting students' post-high school success.

GreatSchools.org, the nation's leading nonprofit school information site, honors schools that go above and beyond to ensure their students are ready for college and life after graduation.

McCracken County High School is one of 1,436 schools across 19 states recognized for their outstanding work in helping students achieve college readiness.
