The Graves County School District, through “Project Child Find,” seeks to ensure that children with disabilities are enrolled in appropriate educational program, with opportunities in vocational education. So, the district seeks children with disabilities who either are not in school or are not receiving the special education services they need.

Children with disabilities include those who are hearing impaired, deaf, or blind, mentally disabled, emotionally and/or behaviorally disabled, speech and/or language impaired, multiply disabled, health impaired, orthopedically impaired or physically disabled, learning disabled, or visually impaired. Services such as special transportation, speech therapy, occupational and physical therapy are available to students who might need related services.

Anyone who knows of an infant, toddler, child or youth in the Graves County School District who needs special education and related services should contact Carmen Robertson, special education director and preschool coordinator at the Graves County Board of Education, at 270-328-1558.
