Jamie Jameson has won the election for 42nd Circuit Court Judge, and will replace Judge Dennis Foust, who retired earlier this year.

Jameson won the non-partisan race by garnering 7,984 votes, or 43 percent. Jeff Edwards received 5,614 votes for 30 percent, and Randall Hutchens got 4,947 votes, or 27 percent.

Jameson told West Kentucky Star, "It was a very hard-fought campaign. All three gentlemen that were in the race fought hard and ran excellent campaigns, and also a clean campaign. The local races reflect what I believe is the true character of the community, and they should be commended for that."

Jameson has most recently served in the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, while Hutchens has served as Calloway County District Judge. Edwards has served as Marshall County Attorney for the past 18 years.
