Engelhardt was a familiar voice in the 1970s on Paducah radio stations WKYX and WDXR, and again in the 90s on WDDJ and WZZL. He could most recently be heard on WCBL in Benton on his syndicated musical feature, "Takin' Ya Back."
He was also employed at WPSD-TV and did voiceover work on many local commercials. He retired from Murray State University in 2019.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.
