By West Kentucky Star Staff
METROPOLIS, IL - A southern Illinois woman was arrested Saturday after a traffic stop.

Metropolis Police say an officer stopped a vehicle at the intersection of 12th Street and North Avenue due to erratic driving. Police then learned that the driver, 26-year-old Tabitha C. King of Golconda, was wanted on a warrant from Saline County on methamphetamine charges.

King was arrested, and police say a search of her purse revealed two prescription pill bottles that had names other than hers on them. Those pills were clonazepam, Zolpiderm, Tramadol and Oxycodone, according to police.

Besides the warrant, King faces additional charges for possession of controlled substances. She was taken to Massac County Detention Center.
