A.J. Pollock hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers tied the major league record by homering in their 32nd consecutive home game during a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.

Pollock broke open a scoreless game when he connected off Sonny Gray (0-3). Los Angeles has homered in every regular season game at Dodger Stadium since last Aug. 21, including 13 straight this season.

The Dodgers matched the mark set by the Colorado Rockies in 1999, but won't get the chance to break it until April 26 when they return from a road trip.

Los Angeles' power streak looked to be in trouble while Gray cruised through the first five innings, allowing just one hit. But after the Reds intentionally walked Cody Bellinger to face him, Pollock smacked his second homer for his new team into the left field bleachers.

Walker Buehler (2-0) pitched three-hit ball into the seventh inning for the Dodgers, striking out eight and allowing one unearned run.

Yasiel Puig scored both of Cincinnati's runs against his former team, but the Reds have lost four straight. Cincinnati is 0-7 on the road.

Both teams finished with just three hits.

The Dodgers made two errors and allowed a run in the ninth, but Kenley Jansen persevered for his fifth save. Los Angeles wrapped up a six-game homestand with a three-game sweep of Cincinnati and its fourth straight win overall.

Cincinnati manager David Bell was ejected in the fifth inning, apparently for arguing balls and strikes from the dugout with plate umpire Nick Mahrley. Bell got tossed for the second time already in his first season with the Reds.

Gray remained winless with the Reds despite a fourth straight solid start. The right-hander yielded two hits and struck out nine over six innings, but Pollock drove his low curveball out of the yard.

Buehler looked sharp from the early start at Chavez Ravine, hitting 99 mph with his fastball while retiring 17 of 18 batters following a leadoff walk. He even picked off a runner for the first time in his career in the second, catching José Iglesias off first after the shortstop got the Reds' only hit in the first six innings.

Former Dodgers Puig and Matt Kemp chased Buehler with singles in the seventh, and a passed ball put Puig in position to score on Eugenio Suarez's groundout.

RARE POP

Joey Votto popped out to Bellinger in foul territory in the eighth inning. Incredibly, that's the first time Votto has popped out to the first baseman in his entire 1,592-game career, which began in 2007.

TRAINER'S ROOM

Dodgers: Justin Turner didn't start for the second straight game after getting hamstring tightness Monday. He struck out as a pinch-hitter in the eighth. ... Bellinger returned to the lineup after sitting out Tuesday. He was hit by a 96-mph fastball Monday.

UP NEXT

Reds: Tanner Roark (0-0, 4.30 ERA) gets the ball Thursday when Cincinnati opens a weekend series in San Diego. Although off to a solid start, he has yet to pitch six full innings for the Reds.

Dodgers: Julio Urías (0-1, 5.27 ERA) takes the mound in Milwaukee on Thursday night in the opener of a four-game series. Urías also faced the Brewers last week in LA, taking the loss while allowing five earned runs in five innings.
