Newcomb, Thompson Win West Kentucky Open Titles

Patrick Newcomb of Benton shot a final round 70 on Sunday to win the professional division at the West Kentucky Open at Drake Creek Golf Club. Newcomb sunk a par putt on the 18th hole to beat Clay Hinton of Elizabethtown by one shot. Newcomb finished the tournament at 3-under par.

Nick Thompson of Paducah won the amateur division by six shots over Joey Mayo, also of Paducah. Thompson shot 68 on Sunday and finished the tournament at 9-under par.
