A western Kentucky man starts his campaign to win the Walmart FLW tour this week.

Brandon Hunter of Benton will be one of 154 anglers competing on the tour this season. This will be his second season on the FLW Tour after a successful five-year career as a co-angler that included five Forrest Wood Cup appearances.

The first tournament of the 20th anniversary season of the FLW Tour, the most competitive tour in professional bass fishing, kicks off March 5-8 at Lake Toho in central Florida. The tournament will feature some of the world’s best bass fishing professionals casting for top awards of up to $125,000 cash in the pro division, and up to $25,000 cash in the co-angler division.

Fishing fans that can’t make the trek to Florida can still follow along with all of the tournament action at FLWFishing.com. Live on-the-water tweets, updates and videos will be posted throughout the four days of competition as well as a live streaming video feed of the weigh-in held at 5 pm each day.

In FLW Tour competition, anglers are also vying for valuable points in hopes of qualifying for the Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing. The 2015 Forrest Wood Cup will be in Hot Springs, Arkansas, August 20-23 on Lake Ouachita. The Forrest Wood Cup Champion could win as much as $500,000 – professional bass-fishing’s richest prize.
