A year after a dust up, Churchill Downs is opening suites for the owners of Kentucky Derby horses so close to the track they can see the dirt being kicked up.

Churchill officials showed off the trackside suites Wednesday. They are reserved on Derby Day for owners.

Last year, a co-owner of Derby winner California Chrome complained that Churchill's hospitality "wasn't very good."

This year's Derby will feature 20 horses. In addition to their prime spot under the twin spires, owners and their guests will have complimentary food and beverages.

Track President Kevin Flanery says the suites have been in the works for a couple of years.
