Kentucky high school basketball's all-time leading scorer Travis Perry was named the 2024 Mr. Kentucky Basketball.

The Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation and Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches presented the awards Sunday in Lexington. 

Beginning Wednesday, Perry and his Lyon County teammates will attempt to make a run at the state title in the boys Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena. The Lyons are scheduled to play Ashland Blazer at 12:30 p.m. in a first-round game.

McCracken County's Connor Miller was the Region 1 candidate for the award.

Pikeville's Trinity Rowe was honored as Miss Basketball. Rowe scored 2,463 points at Pikeville and is a Southern Mississippi signee.

McCracken County's Claire Johnson was one of 18 other girls in the running for Miss Basketball.
