Wes Overstreet Chosen as St. Mary Basketball Coach

St. Mary High School announces that Wes Overstreet has been chosen as the new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for the St. Mary Vikings.

Coach Overstreet is a 2007 graduate of St. Mary High School. He brings a unique perspective to the position as both a former varsity basketball player and, since 2013, assistant basketball coach for his alma mater. A press release from the school said his personal connection and many years of successful coaching experience will allow him to put his mark on the program he knows and loves so well. 

"I am extremely grateful and excited to be the head basketball coach at St. Mary High School," Overstreet said. "We have a talented group of guys coming back and I look forward to continuing a first class program."

Wes takes over the program from his father, Greg, who had been head coach since 2003 and recently accepted the head coach job at Paducah Tilghman High School. Wes coached under his father for several years.
