Stieg is reportedly taking over as principal at Tilghman's alternative school.
Stieg was 292-139 as head coach of the Blue Tornado and helped lead Tilghman to 10 Second District championships and three First Region titles.
Stieg is third on the all-time wins list at Tilghman, behind Otis Dinning (520) and Berny Miller (481). Stieg served four years as an assistant coach at Tilghman before taking over as head coach in 2002.
Tilghman finished 27-5 this past season, losing to Murray 41-37 in the regional semifinals.
