After each team committed two turnovers in the first quarter, it was Tilghman who found their offensive groove first as Cam Marshall found the end zone on a 1-yard run.
The Tornado defense provided a quick spark thereafter as Colbe Crim picked off junior quarterback Elijah Wheat’s pass and returned it to the house for the touchdown to give Tilghman the 14-0 lead.
Then with 4:50 left in the 2nd quarter, Jayden Freeman scampered 24 yards for the touchdown to give the Blue Tornado the 20-0 lead. Tilghman had one more opportunity as time expired in the first half, but a 24-yard field goal attempt was wide left.
The 2nd half was not much different. Kel Askew found the end zone with an 18 yard run to give Tilghman the 27-0 lead, then Damien Ford ran it in from 6 yards out to make it 35-0 Blue Tornado.
McCracken County’s Hunter Bradley would put the Mustangs on the scoreboard late in the 4th as he ran one in from 3 yards out to make it 35-6.
