Murray Rallies Past Gallatin into All ‘A’ Finals

A pivotal 10-0 fourth-quarter run helped Murray rally past Gallatin County 66-55 in the semifinals of the girls’ Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic Saturday afternoon in the Frankfort Convention Center. The Lady Tigers (22-2) will face Holy Cross (19-3) in Sunday's championship game at 11:30am (CST).

Murray trailed 46-41 when leading scorer Maddie Waldrop fouled out with six minutes left. The Lady Tigers then scored the next 10 points, sparked by Elizabeth Grogan's two three-pointers, to put the game away.

Alexis Burpo led Murray with 16 points. Macey Turley had 14 points and Grogan had 12 points. Waldrop finished with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Hannah Dossett led Gallatin County with 24 points and seven rebounds. Danielle Wesley had 18 points for the Lady Wildcats.
