Murray Ousted in First Round of State Tournament

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY - University of Louisville signee Seygan Robins had 17 points, five steals, four assists and four rebounds to lead Mercer County past Murray 55-44 Wednesday night in the first round of the St. Elizabeth Healthcare/KHSAA Sweet 16 at BB&T Arena.

The Titans (33-3), also got 11 points and 11 rebounds from Emmy Souder. The Titans will face Owensboro Catholic in Friday's quarterfinals.

Mercer led 30-25 at halftime and stretched the lead to 18 in the fourth quarter. Murray (32-3) fought back and cut the lead to eight late, but could get no closer.

Murray finished the game just 5-for-30 from 3-point range. Alexis Burpo led the Lady Tigers with 14 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.
