Murray, Marshall Score Top 10 Finish at State

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Sacred Heart shot a two-day 41-over 617 to win the girls' state golf championship Saturday at Bowling Green Country Club. It's the Valkyries 11th state title.

Scott County finished second at 653. Ryle placed third at 662. Marshall County finished 6th with a two-day score of 670. Murray was 7th at 684.

Sacred Heart's Ryan Bender won the individual title with a 4-over 148. Elizabethtown's Sarah Hinton and Taylor Edlin tied for second, one stroke back.

Graves County's Nicole Taylor and Marshall County's Hallie Riley tied for 17th at 14-over 158. Savannah Howell of Marshall County tied for 31st at 165.
