Marshall's Howell, Nimmo Win Tilghman Invitational

PADUCAH - Marshall County's Savannah Howell beat St. Mary's Margaret Butts on the second hole of a playoff to win Saturday's Paducah Tilghman Invitational at Paxton Park.

Howell, Butts and Crittenden County's Lauren Gilchrist were all tied at 72 after 18 holes. Gilchrist was eliminated on the first hole of the playoff.

Marshall County's Megan Hertter finished 4th with a 73.

The Lady Marshals won the team championship with a total of 333. McCracken County was second at 361.

Marshall County's Jay Nimmo won the boys championship. Nimmo shot a 66 to finish three shots ahead of McCracken County's Connor Kirkham (69).

The Marshals won the team championship with a score of 290. Greenwood was second at 310. McCracken County finished third with a score of 314.
