Marshall Falls to Christian 4-3 at State Tourney

A walk-off RBI single by Tyler Shemwell in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted Christian County over Marshall County 4-3 in Thursday's first round of the Owensboro Health/KHSAA Fast Pitch Softball State Tournament.

The loss puts the Lady Marshals in a must-win game on Friday. Marshall will play Bourbon County at 11:00 am in the consolation bracket.

Riley Piercefield led Marshall at the plate, going 2-3 with an RBI. Cayson Conner was 1-4.
